Friends of Forest Farm present a talk about fungi on the evening of Wednesday 21 January at Whitchurch Community Centre. Prof. Lynne Boddy is the presenter and she’ll be highlighting the good, the bad and the ugly of the fungal world.

What a great night tonight at the switch-on. The Cardiff Devils led the countdown and the main street was packed.

There’s an afternoon tea organised by The Ladies Friday Club at Christchurch URC in Bellevue Crescent on 14 November 2014 from 14:30

There’s an open public  meeting at 7pm Wednesday 12 November at Lew’s Coffee Shop to discuss the Christmas lights. Everyone’s welcome.

There’s an event to celebrate Dylan Thomas’s life at St Mary’s Parish Church in Whitchurch, Cardiff.

The thanksgiving service starts at 6pm 26 October 2014, to mark the 100th Anniversary Of Dylan Thomas’ birth.

The featured readings include ‘And Death Shall Have No Dominion’, an extract from ‘A Visit to Grandpa’s’, ‘Lie Still, Sleep Becalmed’, set to music by Welsh composer Nathan James Dearden.

The guest speaker is Prof Damian Walford Davies.

There’s a Macmillan Coffee Morning at Fortis Property in Llandaff North on the 26th of September 2014. I’ve heard a rumour there may  be a Gareth Bale signed ball as part of the fundraising.
