All for a good cause in Llandaff North

It’s good that there’s a list of local organisations that have benefitted from a 1% dividend gifted by customers there at Llandaff North Co-op.

Shoppers with a membership card can log in online to have a say in where the future 1% of their spending goes locally.

It’s good to see the 2nd Llandaff Scouts on this list because they’ve worked so hard to raise funds. Testament to this is the list of supporters on the banner outside their scout hut.

  1. Hawthorn Road East, Llandaff North. patch of land where old coach house was removed next to No: 3. This is now a council rubbish venue for the flats at end of lane (six black bins waste from Lue’s ‘café and bread shop Station Road and blue bags from other shops in Station Road. All deposited there on different days of week. Some not removed after emptying for days, bags ripped open frequently. One large green garden bin from Station Road has been there for a month. the council refuse to allow these bins and bags to be collected from back of Avocet Flats as was done for twenty years before by private collection and council will not use side or front of flats for their collections. The landlord of this ground has allowed builders updating shop on Hawthorn Road to throw their rubbish there too and it has become a local dumping ground. The value of my house has reduced considerably with this eye saw next to it and I have been complaining for nearly ten years. – PLEASE CAN YOU HELP? Joanne Grey , 3 Hawthorn Road East
